A Guthrie teenager’s appeal was denied by the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals after she was convicted of killing her father in 2010.

Kaleigh FryerKaleigh Lynn Fryer, now 18, saw several of her appeals denied — including insufficient evidence, prosecutorial misconduct, ineffective defense council and violations of her rights to remain silent and against unreasonable search and seizure.

Fryer, who is being held at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud, was unanimously convicted by jurors in the stabbing death of her father Lewis Fryer, 50, at his home on May 13, 2010. He was found in his bed stabbed in the neck and in the back.

Kaleigh Fryer’s boyfriend, Jerry Jerone Chiles Jr., 22, admitted to stabbing Lewis Fryer in his bedroom on May 12, 2010. Chiles testified against Kaleigh Fryer, who helped planned the attack, in return for a sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole.
