Breaking: Guthrie Public Schools cancel classes due to winter weather for Friday.
A long-time fast food restaurant that has served Guthrie for many years has closed their doors.
Kentucky Fried Chicken posted they have shut down operations at their store located at 112 W. Noble.
Employees were notified of the decision on Sunday.
A note posted on the door early Monday morning stated, “Sorry closed for meeting” and was replaced by Monday afternoon with “Closed – Sorry to inform you this location is closed – Thank you for your many years of support.”
The northbound and southbound lanes are obstructed on I-35 following a five vehicle accident.
Report of a semi-truck was traveling northbound has rolled after going through the cable barrier.
Both northbound lanes have been shut down near mile marker 159, which is two miles north of Guthrie.
The call was dispatched at 5:55 a.m. The Guthrie Fire Department and Logan Counry Sheriff’s Office are on the scene.
There are no reports on injuries at this time.

The Senate and House Appropriations Committees and representatives of the Governor are hammering out a budget as I write this (See Wednesday’s Special Update).
