A rollover accident in southern Logan County has left one person dead.

Officials say a vehicle was traveling northbound on Midwest Boulevard, quarter-mile from Simmons Road, when the driver over corrected his Jeep Liberty vehicle.

The vehicle rolled over and trapped a female passenger underneath. Polly McDaniel, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene with head injuries. Her husband, Clinton McDaniel, 69, was treated at the scene and released.

Crews were dispatched to the scene at 12:08 Wednesday afternoon.

The McDaniels have been been married for 50 years.

Guthrie Rescue, Woodcrest, Logan County Sheriff’s Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene.

Praying for all those involved, and for the soul of the person that died. As a former cop, I have worked more than my share of rollover fatality accidents. Just heartbreaking on any day but especially on today, our country’s biggest Holiday.
