Susan C. WorthingtonBeing sworn in as the new Special District Judge would be a special morning for anyone, but to be sworn in by your father, who overlooked the courtroom for years, made the morning extra special for the new judge.

Susan C. Worthington, who was appointed from District Judge Phillip Corley, took her oath Thursday morning for the Logan County special judge position.

Worthington, who studied law at the University of Oklahoma College of Law (1984), served as a private attorney in Stillwater prior to her appointment.

Worthington took the oath from her father, Donald Worthington, who served as Logan County’s District Judge for 20-plus years before retiring in 2010. In total, Donald Worthington’s law career span over 50 years.
