Hello! The Logan County Long Term Recovery Group is making great strides and has most of the cases closed from last year’s Wildfires and the Pinebrook Apt. fire. The Ministerial Alliance announced they will donate all of the monies offered at the Lenten Lunches this year to the LCLTR group to help our neighbors who may be in need after a disaster!  Thank you for your generosity and support, Guthrie’s Ministerial Alliance. This week’s Lenten Luncheon will be hosted by the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. John Borrego will explain the meaning of Ash Wednesday and lent.

We would love for you to attend, meet the candidates and learn about their platform. The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce regularly provides this type of public forum when there is an important election coming up as a community and Membership service. We believe that it is important for you to have the opportunity to get to know the issues and candidates in order to make an informed choice.

Guthrie’s Young Professional Leaders will join forces with YP groups from around the state for the second annual Day at the Capitol event. They will hear from elected officials on a range of issues during the morning session, followed by lunch with YOUR Representative or Senator. After lunch you will take the knowledge you gathered at the morning session and visit with your Representative and Senators on issues that you are most passionate about. The day will conclude with a happy hour/networking event with YP’s from across Oklahoma.

This week’s Chamber Coffee will be hosted by Golden Chick located in the Guthrie Travel Plaza on Hwy 33 & I-35. They have a special menu item they will be unveiling!  Next week’s Chamber Coffee will be hosted by the American Red Cross located at 219 S. Second
