United Way of Logan County tops Goal

Campaign Chair, Sereniah Breland, announced another successful United Way campaign at “Celebration”, Tuesday night at the Masonic Temple.  With a room full of volunteers, donors and advocates, Sereniah, with the help of board members, unveiled the final campaign total of $205,242, smashing the goal of $212,014 and setting a new record of giving for the United Way of Logan County.  Read more…

Drizzle storm damage continues to plague District 2 with lots of holes, slowing our graders down and delaying progress in getting roads smoothed up. Yesterday, further delay was caused by some driver tearing off a bridge rail on a bridge on Midwest south of Forrest Hill. Stabilizing Post from Charter Oak to Forrest Hill has begun and the rebuild of Charter Oak east of Douglas is imminent. Read more…

We all look forward to springtime in our part of Oklahoma. The new growth and everything greening up gives us a sense that Mother Nature is cleaning up the muddy and cold mess from winter.  One mess that Mother Nature takes a long time to clean up is the litter and trash that gets dumped on our county roads.   Read more…
