Bookmark and Share

A house fire on Guthrie’s west side took firefighters nearly three hours to knock down in the early morning hours of New Year’s Eve.

The Guthrie Fire Department was dispatched to 1511 W. Warner at 4:19 a.m. Once crews arrived to the home, flames could be shooting out of the roof 15 feet into the air.

The fire department was assisted by Oak Cliff and Coyle fire departments.

A mother and son were able to get out of the home.

The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical at this time.

The home is a total loss.

There were no injuries reported at the scene.
