Recently the Guthrie Police Department and Logan County Sheriff’s Office welcomed three new officers from their certified training.

Guthrie City Manager Sereniah Breland attended the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) graduation ceremony and welcomed two officers to the force. Stephen Menzel and Josh Hader graduated from the 20-week course. Also, graduating was Deputy Chase Biggs from the Oklahoma State Police Academy.

Josh HaderEstablished in 1963, CLEET helps support Oklahoma law enforcement communities, including enhancing public safety by providing education and training to help promote professionalism and enhance competency within the ranks of Oklahoma law enforcement.

The Academy is 583 hours of instruction and testing. This includes extraordinary physical training in the defensive tactics, firearms, and emergency driving sections.

Biggs has been employed with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office for two years. He has served as a Detention Deputy and was promoted first to Corporal and the Sergeant in the Detention Center before being selected to attend the academy.
