The sniffling and sneezing has already started for many allergy sufferers and doctors with the Oklahoma Institute of Allergy & Asthma are warning that Fall allergy season could be the worst in three years.

Guthrie News Page“Now is the time for people to start taking their medication.” said Dr. Amy Darter, lead allergist at the Oklahoma Institute of Allergy & Asthma.

“Grass allergies have been bad all summer because of the amount of rain we’ve had. Where we usually see brown lawns, everything is green, and now weeds are taking off. Be prepared, it’s really causing problems.”

Dr. Darter is warning allergy sufferers who normally wait to start their fall allergy medications until Labor Day to start now.
