Following a ruling by a Pawnee County district judge, Sen. AJ Griffin and Rep. Dennis Casey said today that they will introduce legislation to protect children in Oklahoma towns from convicted sex offenders who reside close to playgrounds and parks.

GPWA receives loan to expand water service to Coyle

The Guthrie Public Works Authority has received a $470,000 principal forgiveness loan through the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to help finance the expansion of water service to the community of Coyle.  

Child, man transported to hospital following accident on S. Division

Two people, including a child, were transported to hospitals after a driver was following too close and struck another vehicle attempting to make a turn on south Division.

Lawn equipment stolen from cemetery

A Guthrie cemetery was hit last week when several lawn equipment items were stolen.
