United Way campaign drawing near to 2013 goal

The United Way of Logan County is wrapping up their 2013 campaign and is pleased to report that they are currently at 90 percent of their campaign goal.  This year’s campaign goal is $192,013.  The United Way of Logan County works with 10 partner agencies to provide funding to assist the needs of our community.  Read more…

Hip dysplasia is abnormal growth of the hip that occurs during a puppy’s growing phase.  Hip dysplasia is a hereditary condition which is more prominent in large breed dogs, especially German Shepherds, Saint Bernards, Labradors Retrievers and Golden Retrievers. Read more…

“Thank You”

I would like to begin by complementing the District 1 employees on this last snow storm. We had members of the crew working  24hrs and the roads for the most part cleared and passable. If you see any of the crew out  working, you might say  “Thank You to them”. They do not get paid as much as our neighbor to the south but does the same jobs. When they are out all night and  weekends they are away from their families and I appreciate the sacrifice made so we  can get out and go. They are warriors in the fight against mother nature.
