On Sunday, the southeast portion of the small town Carney, located in Lincoln County, was hit by a tornado along with parts of Shawnee.

At last count, the town has a population of 649 people.

Environmental Management, located at 5200 NE Hwy 33, has not only volunteered to be a donation drop site for tornado victims, but will also pick up your donations.

EMI says shovels, rakes, leather work gloves, Gatorade, contractor trash bags and hatchets are needed after the company has already spent some time in the rural community.

Freckles N’ Grins, a daycare in Guthrie, has donated a number of items, including goodie bags that the children hand made over the last two days.

On Saturday, the Guthrie Boy Scout Troop 850 will be going to Carney to help with the cleanup.

For more information contact EMI at 405-282-8510. They are open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
