Academy cadets investigates mock crime scenes

The crime scene looked as real as it could outside of a Guthrie hotel, but turns out it was a mock scene as the Logan County Sheriff’s Office continue to educate over 20 men and women in their reserve officer academy. Read more…

Oklahoma state lawmakers still have many important issues to address in the remaining days of the 2013 state legislative session. One of the most critical to Logan County residents and to those citizens, businesses and school buses driving on county roads across Oklahoma is HB 1080.  This bill impacts all 77 county highway systems which
comprise almost 84,000 miles of roadway and over 14,000 bridges. Read more…

Broadway paving scheduled for mid May

In December 2012, District 1 contracted with Atlas Paving Company to resurface three miles of Broadway from Waterloo to Simpson. Weather and a backlog of projects delayed the paving, but we received word today that work is scheduled to begin Monday, May 13. Read more…

From the Desk: Public survey to help school committee

“So, is that new superintendent going to run a bond issue before the voters sometime soon?”  Many of you may have heard this question and it brings me to another question…am I still the “new superintendent”?  We are doing the final testing for this school year, a successful prom has been completed and commencement is just around the corner.  That means we are on the verge of completing the 2012-13 school year.  Read more…
