RedHawks to recognize Mary Beth Davis in season opener

The Oklahoma City RedHawks and Integris will recognize Mary Beth Davis as the first “Home Run for Life” participant of the 2013 season during the RedHawks home opener, which starts at 7:05 p.m. Friday, April 12 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The “Home Run for Life” series recognizes individuals in the Oklahoma City area who have overcome a significant medical event with the help of their families, physicians and health care professionals. Charter Oak bridge and road update

Progress continues on construction of a new 103′ bridge on Charter Oak Rd. west of Santa Fe. Rain slowed the process this week but workers were back on the job Thursday afternoon as the sun came out. Bridge beams have been set and the next step will be to prepare forms for pouring the deck. This could take approximately two weeks according to
the onsite ODOT inspector. After the deck is poured, the concrete will be inspected to ensure it meets density requirements and if all is well, traffic rail will be constructed. Forming the rail requires an additional week of work, but when it is finished, the bridge itself is basically complete. Read more…

It looks like spring is finally here and so is allergy season. I’m seeing lots of itchy dogs and cats. Unlike our upper respiratory symptoms, pets become itchy when they have allergies. According to Veterinary Pet Insurance, allergies are one of the top ten claims that are filed. Read more…
