Jared Caden Anderson (left) and Dennis Leroy Robinson (right) were taken into custody following a vehicle and foot pursuit.

The deputy was on patrol near Waterloo and Kelly when a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria nearly swiped the deputy’s truck. The vehicle suddenly fled southbound into Oklahoma County where the Edmond Police Department and the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office joined in on the pursuit.

The suspect vehicle lost control at a curve on Memorial Road, near Douglas, leaving the roadway and crashing into a thicket of small trees and brush. The Logan County Deputy, assisted by Oklahoma County deputies, quickly apprehended two men fleeing from the vehicle.

The suspects were identified as Jared Caden Anderson, 26, and Dennis Leroy Robinson, 28. Both face charges of attempting to elude police and reckless driving.

Both suspects and deputies received non-serious superficial cuts and abrasions from the underbrush in the area. The suspects were medically cleared at a local hospital prior to being lodged at the Logan County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.

Captain Richard Stephens said the only identifiable reason the two men fled from police appears at this time to be suspended driver’s license and warrants.
