Some changes took place in Guthrie during the 2012 calendar year. Along with changes, Guthrie saw some inspirational stories, reality shows that came to town and a cross that went missing.

A few days ago Guthrie News Page brought you the top viewed stories for the year, but here are some of the stories that made the top headlines.

15th annual Bluegrass Festival set to begin Thursday – Sept. 28

People from New York and Los Angeles and everywhere in between will be merging to the campgrounds of Guthrie and the Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival.

Inaugural Guthrie triathlon is a success – July 21

With nearly 200 registered athletes, the inaugural First Capital Triathlon was a major success among participants, volunteers and race coordinators.

ODOT shuts down viaduct bridge; traffic being detoured – Aug. 2
