Neighbors hold vigil for three-year-old boy

Bookmark and Share

Neighbors came together for two families and held a candlelight vigil for a three-year-old boy who was killed over the weekend.

The group remembered a small child who was accidentally killed on Saturday afternoon when he was visiting family members and accidentally shot himself.

The vigil was held just in front of the home on Derby Lane, inside the Triple Crown Meadow housing addition. After a moment of silence for prayer, the group hymned Amazing Grace as a neighbor played the tune on his guitar.

White and blue balloons were released following the ceremony as others brought teddy bears to be donated for children during the Christmas season.
