Replacing of the University bridge to begin soon

Work on special projects is progressing throughout District 2. In the south we have finished building the road base with shale on Forrest Hills (No Name) from Pine to Midwest. Recently we installed tinhorns which are critical in establishing proper drainage for the road and right-of-way. All of this is in preparation for a 2 ½” laydown of asphalt which we hope to apply by the middle of November. Read more…

Mack’s 512 Academy stands up against bullying

October is Bully Prevention Month nationwide and Mack’s 512 Academy along with Youth Empowerment Strategies, Inc. (YES!) is joined the campaign by sponsoring a poster contest as well as a special showing of an anti-bullying video, “Stand For The Silent” written and produced by the 512 Academy students. GHS Drama students take third with Locked In

Mrs. Shelley Berryman’s Performance Drama class at Guthrie High School recently competed in the OSSAA One Act competition in Shawnee. They performed the play Locked In and won third overall. Read more…
