Red Cross urges apartment & condominium safety

Fires that occur in high-rise apartment buildings and condominiums are especially dangerous and cause more damage than all other structure fires, according to the National Fire Protection Association. The American Red Cross urges those living in these multi-unit buildings to think ahead and know the evacuation plans and fire safety features for their building.  Read more…

Bridge project on Charter Oak Road goes to bid

I’ve mentioned before how satisfying it is when plans for a major road or bridge project finally become a reality. This month, on October 18, ODOT will open bids for the construction of a new 103′ bridge over Chisholm Creek on Charter Oak Road. The new structure will replace the wooden one-lane bridge located one-half mile west of the Oak Cliff #2 fire station at Santa Fe and Charter
