Voters to be asked to update address information at primary

Bookmark and Share

Many voters in Tuesday’s Presidential Preferential Primary Election will be asked to update their address information according to Erin Dorio, Secretary of the Logan County Election Board.

“For many reasons, some voters’ address information isn’t adequate to precisely locate a place on a map,” Dorio said.  Even if an address hasn’t changed, political boundaries do, and an exact address is necessary to be sure the person votes in the right precinct, school district, or other local election.

Therefore, many voters will be asked to fill out new voter registration applications with more precise address information.

No voter will be denied the right to vote, whether or not updated information is given.
