Chamber Chat: chamber banquet and casting call among happenings
Our Educational Series this month is “Get Your Plate In Shape.” Presented by Courtney Thompson and Cathy James who will have some fun activities, lots of knowledge on MyPlate and how people can do their best to get their plate full of more fruits and vegetables. Chamber Chat: Guthrie Job Corps hoping for your help
Guthrie Job Corps Center, is seriously concerned about the impact of the US Department of Labor / Employment and Training Administration (ETA)’s recent decision to freeze student enrollment at ALL Job Corps Centers, starting January 28 through June 30, 2013. This ill-conceived decision means that nationwide, 10,000 youth that have been waiting to get into the Job Corps program are being turned away and another 20,000 may ultimately be denied entry over the coming months. On the 8th day of Christmas my true love gave to me 8 maids a milking! We’re almost there….. one of Santas elves sent me an email saying Santa was going to stop in to refuel at the Guthrie/Edmond Regional Airport on Sunday the 23rd around 3p.m before heading to the North Pole for his big day.
