Much needed rain puts water in Mineral Wells Park’s ponds
Updated on April 15 – The City of Guthrie placed the fountain back in the pond as the city prepares for the upcoming 89er Week.

City Council discusses tax increase in workshop
The Guthrie City Council held a workshop regarding an increase for the hotel and motel tax rate Tuesday evening. The council heard from the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce and several citizens on a proposed increase rate of anywhere from one to four percent. Read more…
Guthrie Park Board looking for new members
The Guthrie Park Board is looking for new members interested in giving freely of their time and talent. Serving on the Park Board is a respected civic responsibility that deals directly with the quality of life in our community. There are currently two openings on the board which meets every other month on the third Thursday beginning in January. Meetings are held in the evening at 6:30pm at Guthrie City Hall. Read more…
