Reserve academy graduates; ceremony set for Friday

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Reserve Peace Officer Academy through the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training. The department has publicized several notable milestones of this academy since they started back on December 3.

Logan County Sheriff’s Office responds to Moore with 20 deputies

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office received official mutual aid requests from the Moore Police Department, on May 20, following the devastating tornado that hit the area. The Sheriff’s Office responded with a crew of twenty deputies to the Moore Command Center.

Local officers being recognized for National Police Week

NATPeace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15th falls, as National Police Week. Established by a joint resolution of Congress in 1962, National Police Week pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.

High speed pursuit dashes through Guthrie

A routine traffic stop on Interstate 35 turned into a high-speed pursuit through Guthrie’s busy roads on Sunday afternoon.

Academy cadets investigates mock crime scenes

The crime scene looked as real as it could outside of a Guthrie hotel, but turns out it was a mock scene as the Logan County Sheriff’s Office continue to educate over 20 men and women in their reserve officer academy.

Re-registered Kindle Fire tracks down suspect following burglary

 

A Oklahoma City man is accused of stealing several items for a Logan County home in January. One of those items was an Amazon Kindle Fire HD Tablet which the accused re-registered the device into his own name the day after the crime allegedly happen. That action helped lead authorities to an arrest.
