Two days remain for absentee ballots to be casted

Registered voters in Logan County who want to vote by mail absentee ballot in next Tuesday’s Annual School Runoff and Regular Municipal General Election have missed the application deadline (March 28), County Election Board Secretary Dorio said today.

Registered voters in Logan County who become physically incapacitated after 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, won’t have to miss the April 2 Annual School Runoff and Regular Municipal General Election, County Election Board Secretary Erin Dorio said today.

Voters in Logan County who want to have absentee ballots mailed to them for the April 2, Regular Municipal General Election and Annual School Runoff Election should apply now, County Election Board Secretary Erin Dorio said today.  Although the County Election Board can accept applications for absentee ballots until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, Dorio urged voters who want to vote by absentee ballot to apply early.

School board election decided by six votes

Voters in the Guthrie school board election did not turned out in big numbers, but all the votes proved to be valuable as the Ward 2 position was decided by six votes.

City government races are set for Logan County

The filing period ended Wednesday evening for city government races in Logan County. In Guthrie, all four offices will be contested, including the mayor race.

The Guthrie Board of Education met Monday evening for their regular scheduled monthly meeting and discussed the A-F Grade system that was given to their six school buildings.
