The Guthrie Farmer’s Market continues every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon on First Street between Oklahoma and Harrison Avenue. We have been approved to accept SNAP & EBT cards and are waiting on a machine to take the cards. Our market is a 100 percent homegrown, which means none of our produce is bought from a store; it’s all grown in local gardens! There are other handmade items available like jewelry, quilts, aprons, baked goods and soap. Read more…

Happy Fourth of July!! The merchants are going to have “The Great American Sidewalk Sale” from 10 a.m .to 6 p.m. on the Fourth of July! The General Store located at 113 West Oklahoma Avenue is celebrating their grand opening and have secured PLP Food Truck and music for the day. Hello! Last Thursday Lucy and I went to an Oklahoma Road Show in Norman at the NCED Conference Center and Hotel. I was told it’s the largest hotel in Oklahoma. It is the training center for the Postal service nationwide.  We had another Road Show in Bartlesville on Tuesday at the Conoco Phillips in the Frank Phillips Tower where Lucy and Pam visited with over 600 people! Chamber Chat: Softball fans make their way to Guthrie

Saturday morning Farmer’s Market opened  at 8 a.m. with five vendors. The Antique & Vintage Market vendors were setting up before 6a.m. and most of them were open for business at 8a.m. too, they filled up the rest of the block. Oklahoma Avenue was closed with two blocks full of tents carrying all sorts of jewelry, crafts, t-shirts, etc. Read more…
