Bookmark and Share

The Guthrie city council will hold a special meeting on Friday to consider and accept the resignation of its current city manager.

Guthrie News Page has learned City Manager Matt Mueller will turn in his resignation letter to the council.

Mueller, 33, is expected to accept a similar position in Texas.

The executive session meeting is set to begin at 1 p.m.

Mueller took the Guthrie position in February of 2010 after serving as Claremore’s Deputy City Manager’s position. Prior to Claremore, Mueller was Edmond’s Manager Analyst.

Mueller replaced Melody Kellogg, who left the Guthrie position in October 2009.
