Semi-trailer catches fire near fire station

Bookmark and Share

A semi-trailer erupted in flames Thursday evening. The good news, if any, was that the trailer was within 100-yards of the Guthrie Fire Department.

Fire crews responded just after 7:30 p.m. to 110 E. Perkins where a semi-trailer was parked next to a metal building.

The trailer was being used for storage and is a total loss.

It is unknown what started the blaze, but paint and lacquer aided the fire as smoke could be seen billowing across Division street.

A firefighter was outside the station when he spotted the smoke and alerted other firefighters.
