Voters in a Kingfisher, Logan, Noble and Pawnee counties will be heading to the polls next week to voice their opinion on the District 20 State Senate seat.

The Republican primary will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at area polling locations.

Residents will choose between Wayne Murphey, Ann Griffin, Chris Humphreys and Phil Berkenbile to become the Republican candidate for the general election.

Murphey is a deputy county commissioner for Logan County, while Humphreys spent time as a pastor at Heartland Baptist Church in Warr Acres.

Griffin is the director of Logan Community Services and Berkenbile is the state director of the Oklahoma Department of Technology and Education.

Whoever is chosen will then run against Democrat Magnus W.T. Scott in the general election, which is scheduled for April 3, 2012.
